Qualifications:
Training and Accreditation:
GED or high school diploma
A valid and clear driver's license
Specialized knowledge/skills:
A basic understanding of vocabulary, updates, procedures, and technology.
Extensive familiarity with computer software and hardware.
Familiarity with a variety of OSs (Windows 10, Windows 11, Chrome, Apple)
Familiarity with Apple and Chromebook devices.
Competent with Google Apps (Docs, Sheets, etc.) and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
The capacity to effectively use technology for office management.
Outstanding computer-using interpersonal, communication, and organizing abilities.
The capacity to organize tasks and have excellent problem-solving abilities.
Help technicians identify and fix issues pertaining to technology or technology-related issues.
The capacity to use iPads, Chromebooks, PCs, and educational applications.
The ability to be accountable and take ownership of the work process.
The capacity to collaborate well with educators and students.
Principal Charges and Accountabilities:
Administrative
1. Offer clerical and general administrative assistance.
2. Keep up with your hard copy and electronic file systems.
3. Return calls, take accurate messages, and forward them to the relevant employees.
4. Gather, organize, and file any necessary paper and digital reports, records, and other paperwork.
5. Keep up and organize the district inventory of technology supplies and equipment parts.
6. When a request for technology or other gear is made, prepare bids and purchase orders.
7. Receive, sort, and distribute incoming shipments of technology in accordance with demands for budgeted purchases.
8. Assemble price quotes and track requests for purchase orders for supplies used by district printers.
9. Help with the orientation process for new employees, which includes IDs and tech training.
10. Maintain and make updates to the district website.
Inventory
11. Ensure that the designated site(s) has a correct inventory of hardware, software, and other materials and equipment.
12. Determine, seek, and manage the equipment and repair part inventories.
Technical Assistance
13. Take in requests for technology work orders and help end users with issues pertaining to computer and tech-related services.
14. Collaborate with employees to help with password resets, login issues, and basic troubleshooting.
15. Respond quickly to on-campus staff members' inquiries and problems pertaining to technology through helpdesk tickets.
16. Help with upgrades, deployment, and installation of technology equipment. As needed, move equipment, peripherals, and hardware related to technology.
17. Assist with the implementation and upkeep of district-wide security for every system by helping with software and hardware updates.
18. Perform preventive maintenance on equipment in accordance with a predetermined timetable. Keep up-to-date, accurate records of your preventive maintenance.
19. Handle warranty inquiries and repairs together with the related paperwork.
20. Conduct regular upkeep and cleaning on electronic equipment as required.
21. Keep up with and arrange for end-of-life equipment recycling services and pickups.
22. In charge of handling work orders pertaining to technology and providing technical support.

25. Take all necessary precautions to avoid unneeded or unauthorized access to user identities, passwords, or other data that could be used to gain access to information systems.
26. Contribute to the district technology plan's creation.

28. Collaborate with district staff, community members, parents, teachers, and staff.
29. Encourage a positive work atmosphere both inside the Technology Department and throughout the entire district.
30. Adhere to local board regulations, State Board of Education rules, and federal and state laws.
